Quilt (will open in new window)

"Quilt," was developed around the concept of the traditional quilting bee. Each member contributed sculptural pieces based on a 16-inch square. These squares were then hung together in a frame to look like a quilt. The frame, designed and constructed by Sharon Agnor. One of the goals of the Women Who Weld is to find ways to spur creativity and experimentation among its members. "Quilt" is the first in a series of design projects meant to meet this goal.
